Tarahumara Axolotl

Carlota is our Tarahumara axolotl, one of the 16 axolotl species endemic to Mexico. It lives in the Sierra Madre Occidental and is a master of adaptation: if conditions are favorable, it can complete its metamorphosis and become a salamander.

This incredible amphibian, with its giant tadpole-like appearance and three pairs of external gills, has an astonishing regenerative capacity, being able to rebuild tissues, limbs, and even parts of its heart and brain.

Our plush toy measures 28 cm and is knitted with two needles, featuring crochet and embroidery details that enhance its beauty and uniqueness.
